The family planned a trip to Disney World in Florida in the beginning of 2001. I was looking to do something different and had always wanted to take a long train trip. So, I looked into using Amtrak . This was before I had returned to the hobby, it was the year that the Yankees and the Diamondbacks were heading to the World Series. It was also just after the attack on 9/11.
